The word of the day for January 27, 2008 is "cleanliness" — adjective — 1 : careful to keep cleanclean : fastidious. 2 : habitually kept clean.
I took Bubbles with me to the car wash after church. I had thought to wash the car on the way home, but the stalls were all full. I would have thought it was people wanting clean cars for the church parking lot, but most of them were in extremely casual dress. I went home and changed to a sweat suit, got Bubbles settled in his little seat, and off we went.
These photos were taken last week in Lloyd's car. Bubbles sits so quietly while we're driving. He didn't even seem to mind going to the veterinarian for his shots. He's six months old now and has all his permanent teeth. He may even get the hang of potty training soon. He woke me up around 4:30 this morning to let me know he had to go out. So far today, he's not gone once in the house. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
Our quote for today is from John Wesley (1703–1791) Sermon xciii. On Dress:
Certainly this is a duty, not a sin. “Cleanliness is indeed next to godliness.”

That wee bubbles is so gorgeous. Hopefully he has now realised that the place to "GO" is outside ...not in !!
My Mother was always on about cleanliness...she was mad about it or so we thought as children !!! "wash you hands, clean your face, clear out these ears" LOL glad you got your car cleaned mine looks awful but roads so mucky I won't ask my neighbour to do it for me till it gets a bit better. He did do a bit in the garden today cut back lots of ivy, etc. and deheaded last autumns flowers..he is so good to Mary and me. Love Sybil xx

Cleanliness is next to Godliness....or Dogliness. lol!
Bubbles is growing up and becoming house trained. What a clever little dog he is too.
All his own teeth too...that was quick.
Time has certainly flown Jan.

My dog likes to pretend she's driving.
A cute little dog. I had one that looked so much like him when a teenager. She was very smart and full of energy! Thank you for your comment on my journal. :-) Janie
The trick with housetraining is understanding when the dog makes the need known.
I know when Sadie was still young, we were still crating her at night, so she would understand when the humans let her out of the crate that meant "PottyTime".
As for carrides. A dog will put up with quite alot (vet trips included) to go for a carride. We have had to go to saying "CR" around Sadie, because if she hears "carride" she is at the backdoor in a flash. Occasionally looking around for the keys.
